Screen Actors Guild Awards 2012: My Predictions

You can get the full list of nominees here. I could be wrong about some predictions – perhaps instead “Boardwalk Empire” will win for best drama, Steve Buscemi for “Boardwalk Empire,” Eric Stonestreet and Sofia Vergara for “Modern Family,” Maggie Smith for actress in a TV movie/miniseries – but I think this is a pretty good list.

  2. Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role: George Clooney (The Descendants)
  3. Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role: Meryl Streep (The Iron Lady)
  4. Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role: Christopher Plummer (Beginners)
  5. Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role: Octavia Spencer (The Help)
  6. Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series: “Modern Family”
  7. Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series: “Game of Thrones”
  8. Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series: Ty Burrell (“Modern Family”)
  9. Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series: Julie Bowen (“Modern Family”)
  10. Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series: Kyle Chandler (“Friday Night Lights”)
  11. Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series: Jessica Lange (“American Horror Story”)
