In Praise of Alfred Newman

Today is the great composer Alfred Newman‘s birthday. Newman wrote the scores of many classic films from the Golden Age of Hollywood; my favorite works of his are from Wuthering Heights (1939) and The Diary of Anne Frank (1959), so take a listen to the clips below.
